How to set up and use the student dashboard
This article is only for schools that use Sora.
You can see individual student reading data for Sora with the student dashboard. You'll need to enable the dashboard, then create classes of your students to view their reading data.
Every year (365 days), on a date you select, the dashboard will reset all classes and data.

When you enable the student dashboard, users with Sora activity permission will be able to:
- View a summary of reading data for the students in their classes.
- View assigned titles for the students in their classes.
To enable the dashboard:
- Sign into OverDrive Marketplace.
- In the Admin drop-down, select Marketplace settings.
- Under "Student dashboard settings," select Yes.
Note: If you're signed in with a shared collection/consortium account, you can also enable the student dashboard for your Advantage accounts. You can either set up the dashboard on behalf of your Advantage accounts, or allow them to choose their own settings. - Read and acknowledge the privacy agreement.
- Select a start date for the dashboard. Your dashboard will reset each year on this date.
- (Optional) Select the checkbox under the start date to display reading data for your current classes from both the current year and the previous year. If you don't enable this setting, the dashboard will only display reading data from the current year.
- If you'd like, enable the optional settings:
- Show all students: Users with Marketplace settings permission, or Reports and End-user support permissions, can see all students with reading data.
Note: For Advantage users, this option will only show students associated with your Advantage account. - Show individual checkout data: Users can see which titles their students have checked out from their school (not just assigned titles).
- Show bundle checkouts as assignments: Titles borrowed from content bundles will be included in the "Assignments" section of the dashboard. If you don't enable this setting, bundle checkouts will be counted as regular checkouts.
- Show all students: Users with Marketplace settings permission, or Reports and End-user support permissions, can see all students with reading data.
- Click I agree.
