Nearly every aspect of life has changed in the past two decades with the advent of the 21st century, requiring a new skillset for success. Business leaders, policy makers, and educational leaders have spent much time and many resources identifying the areas in which today’s students may be ill-equipped to handle the rapidly changing world and workplace. Christian education leaders have also turned their attention to these issues. While there is consensus that today’s students must be prepared with the skills necessary for success in the work force, the best way to equip students for the 21st century is still the focus of debate. This study was conducted to determine the frequency with which 9th-12th grade Christian school teachers include 21st century skill development in their instruction.
