It was important to understand the effectiveness of DM4J as it pertained to the spiritual lives of not only these eight men, but of all thirty-two men who were participants during the years between 2006-2010. Each man learned about the importance of not only what made a disciple of Jesus an effective one, but also was encouraged to become a disciple maker for Jesus. An exhaustive survey of precedent literature provided the foundation for the instrument that was used to create an online discipleship survey.
